Film making is no more the domain of the privileged select. As a result of the digital revolution there are aspiring actors and film makers in every nook and corner of our country, bubbling with ideas and unbridled zest to express themselves. They even have basic resources to create stories at home but hardly any access to formal education in doing so effectively, aesthetically. Our mission is to bridge that need-gap by bringing knowledge to their doorsteps.
THE WAY WE WORK
Dream Walkers conducts tailor made short term courses in acting and various aspects of film making by tying up with local institutions in various cities and towns across the country. While the institutions enrol students and provide teaching space and basic infrastructure, Dream Walkers sends the faculty along with necessary equipment to conduct the classes. The faculty consists of FTII and NSD graduates who are actively practicing their craft in the industry but also have passion to share their knowledge and experience with young film and tv aspirants in their free time. This enables the institutions to give their students an opportunity to professionally learn the art and technique of expressing themselves through audio-visual medium without having to invest in regular faculty or elaborate infrastructure. These courses are conducted alongside the regular curriculum so that the students do not have to sacrifice regular studies or leave hometown to gain professional learning in the field.
