Saurabh began his writing and directorial career with post graduate Diploma in Cinema [Film Direction specialization] from Film & Television Institute of India, Pune. His Diploma film WITH LITTLE RHYME & NO REASON [1991] as Writer & Director was feted and screened at 17 International Film Festivals the world over.

After graduating from FTII he made short films, documentaries and corporate films and was Chief Assistant Director for CINEMA CINEMA 100, a mega live event directed by Mr. Subhash Ghai and produced by NFDC and Hindi Film Industry to celebrate 100 years of World Cinema in 1995. He then wrote and directed TV programmes in different genres and formats - children’s programmes, studio-based shows, multi-camera coverage of live events featuring legends from Amitabh Bacchan to Zakir Hussain, Sudesh Bhosale to Shivamani, and AVs on fashion to Introduction Capsules for FEMINA MISS INDIA participants including Priyanka Chopra.

One of the most respected media professionals in Mumbai, Saurabh started his TV career with Sony Entertainment Television [SET] in 1996 as the Head of Ideation and Creative. He was responsible for development and creative of all fiction shows on the channel including AAHAT, BHANWAR, C.I.D. DEVI, DHADKAN, FAMILY NO. 1, GOONJ, HEENA, HUM SAB EK HAI, JASSI JAISI KOI NAHI, MAHAYAGYA, MERI BIWI WONDERFUL, MISSING, SAAYA and dozens more. He was also the Creative Head - Feature Film Production at SET Pictures and later on a Creative Consultant to top TV Production Houses in Mumbai before launching his own company Soda Water Films in 2015 which produces TV software and digital content. He is also the founder of Dream Walkers.

Apart from producing, Saurabh writes and directs TV subjects which he finds personally exciting. LOOTERE: BANDITS OF BRITISH INDIA, a docu-drama series produced by his company and directed and co-written by him was nominated for four awards at ITA. He is currently writing and working on two feature film projects which he will direct and co-produce under his banner.
