SHARAD RAJ

Sharad Raj is an alumnus of the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune having specialised in Film Direction. After having assisted many filmmakers including Ketan Mehta in the initial years he took up television and launched 25 soap operas besides being a programming executive with ZEE TV and Head of Programming of Sahara Television.

His first directorial venture was EK THI MARIA a 45-minute fiction film starring Irrfan Khan and Raghuvir Yadav. This was followed by another telefilm, WARD NO. 6 starring Kay Kay Menon for ZEE TV. At present his first feature film, EK BETUKE KI AFRAH RATEIN is under post production.

Sharad has been a visiting faculty at Xavier’s Institute of Communication, Mumbai, ISOMES, Delhi, F.T.I.I., Pune and Symbiosis, Pune. At present he is also a visiting faculty at Digital Film Academy, Mumbai and Whistling Woods International, Mumbai.
